The internet is the world’s largest search engine and the number of searches performed is growing at an astonishing rate. Over the past year, Google has become the #1 search engine in the world and continues this trend this year.
Google has been aggressively expanding its search engine to make sure it can compete with the likes of Bing and Yahoo. One of the key ways they do this is by expanding their results to include the more popular pages on the internet. Search engines like Google and Bing are built on the premise that sites that are popular are likely to be the most useful.
Google’s search engine, Google, is now the world’s 1 search engine, so it’s not surprising they’re getting so big. Since they opened up their search engine back in 2003, Google has doubled its size from just over 1 million sites to over 2.8 million. In 2006, they reached a staggering 300 million sites and in 2009, they reached a staggering 1.3 billion sites.
This is all to say that if you want to get on Google or Bing, you have to make it worth your time. You have to be a good website. Not an “average” website. A site that has great content, is user-friendly and easy to navigate, and has lots of links to its pages.
SEO is one of the most important things a website can do to rank in search engines. This means that it has to be well-written, well-indexed, and well-optimized. SEO is also about making your website easy to find by adding a lot of “link juice.” Link juice is a fancy word for links. Adding links to your website does not mean that it has to be the highest ranked page on the Internet.
I’m going to be really honest with you and be blunt here. I think a lot of SEO professionals confuse the two terms. SEO is usually about optimizing for the highest ranking on a given search engine. It’s not about the best keywords or the most links. When you are optimizing for the best keywords, you are not optimizing for the page with the most links.
When you optimize for keywords, you are not optimizing for the page with the best links. In fact, the opposite is true.
SEO is all about optimizing for the people who want to find you. Google is constantly measuring this. It’s not about the ranking, but about the people. The people on the web that Google wants to see. So the first thing you should, as a website owner, do is to make sure you are the best in your field. When you are the best in your field, you are not the best in your field.
It’s easy to get caught in the SEO hype of SEO-speak. All the “best” rankings are not the same thing. The rankings that Google wants to see are often the results of SEO efforts that have worked. For example, let’s take a search for “hotel in phoenix.” This is a search that would be most likely to lead you to a page with great link-bait content.
The reason that is is because the vast majority of hotels in phoenix are in the $100 – $500 category. What these hotels do is offer their rooms at a very competitive rate, which is what Google wants. The $1000 category was a very new and very little known SEO market, which was not reflected in the results.
