The new economy is finally starting to take shape and we are finally being encouraged to become more self-aware, to think for ourselves and to create our own content. It is exciting and inspiring to see the growth that the internet is giving us, but we need to remain vigilant. We need to keep our heads in the game.
There is a danger to our ability to create content and engage with others online. And so we are encouraged to read, watch, and write. A lot of that work is being done by people who have little knowledge of marketing, and no marketing experience at all.
And all too often, we are encouraged to just take our eyes off the ball and just say, “Oh great, I found something good here,” but we don’t stop to think about whether or not it is a great idea. What we do is just go and take it and see what happens.
