seo means search engine optimization, or SEO. I think the first and easiest way to get a website to show up in search results is by being an authority on the subject matter you are selling. I think it’s the opposite of what happens most of the time, which is that people search for something and Google will show up the first result like it says it does.
The easiest way to be an authority on a subject is to be an authority on the subject you sell. As an example, a realtor is an authority on real estate. The authority status you have on your website (or in your resume or on your LinkedIn profile) can help you gain respect in the eyes of the search engines. When you are able to rank high on search engines and have a large following on social networks, you increase your authority.
