There are many factors that go into creating a great public relations campaign. These include your ability to communicate your message, your ability to listen to the message, and your ability to understand the audience. It’s also important to understand the type of campaign you wish to create the best results, or even to create a campaign that you could not be happier with.
While I don’t think I’m an expert on public relations as I don’t work at a public relations firm, I have seen some of the most successful campaigns come from those who spend as much time researching and crafting a campaign as they do on writing and editing and formatting it. From a social media standpoint, your campaign needs to be short and to the point. It needs to have a strong call to action, so people know what to do if they hear about your company.
A good campaign is based on the idea that the person in charge of public relations will spend a lot of time talking about the company and its products and services in the hopes that they will be able to convince others to buy or use your products or services. So if you are a website you will need to make sure that the copy you use is as catchy as possible and that the person calling about the campaign is a great deal likeable.
I’m not sure how good PR works out in practice, but it’s certainly not bad. We know that Google loves catchy copy and positive PR, and that’s pretty much the goal of every company I’ve ever worked with. Whether that goal is to make your product seem more “cool” or to make it sound like a million dollars, the goal is the same. The only difference is that you’re probably not paying for PR.
Google loves and rewards good copy and positive PR. They have a great deal of power in this department because they have such an advantage in that they actually know what their users are looking for. They can and do look at the web and say “I know this is what our customers are looking for,” then they might create a landing page for it and have that page rank high in search.
Google says they look at the web and they know what a user is looking for, so it doesn’t take much work for them to create a landing page for a site that meets their criteria. The problem is that a lot of websites don’t have a good user experience when it comes to landing pages. In my own experience I have personally had a lot of website owners who just seem to avoid that part of the site.
For instance the landing page for the site I linked to above does not rank highly in Google. I have a different opinion though. I think it is a good idea to have a landing page, but there are a few things you can do to make it more effective, especially for those websites who dont have a good user experience.
First off, put yourself as the first person in your site’s website directory. This is a quick process that you can do in just a few minutes. Just go to the page you want to rank in the search results, then click the tab labeled “directory”, and go to “Edit page”. Once there, click on the “Edit page” and then “Add page”. Choose the “My Page” tab and choose the option that says “My landing page”.
You can also use a number of SEO services, but I think it’s safe to say that the most effective is from Moz. They make it simple and easy to use. They also have an extensive list of tools and resources.
SEO is actually something that the big players in the industry are doing, but I think its safe to say that the majority of the SEO industry is a little bit behind the game. There is a lot of hype, but the reality is that most of the “digital” agencies in the industry are not really doing SEO. The reason I say this is because most of the work is done by people in the marketing department of the company.
