It is a well-known fact that the more intelligent we are the more we tend to be able to see the world in black and white. We tend to see things as good or bad and decide accordingly. We tend to see things as black and white because we are so much smarter than everyone else.
And that’s exactly what happens in Insuk Seo, a new game from the creators of Dead Cells and FTL. At this point you might be thinking, “Oh my gosh, that’s just something you’d have to see in the movie to know for sure”. Well, you can, but just like most things in the world, it’s best to see it with your own eyes.
Insuk Seo is basically an interactive movie. The game follows two characters, Luka and Nalika as they travel through the Black River. The game is split into three parts: The first two are like a movie and are very similar. The third part is the movie that Luka and Nalika go home and spend the night.
With the last part of the game, Luka and Nalika are back at their apartment doing their own thing. They have a few things to do to clear their heads and take a break from the movie. They are looking through their old phone and find various messages and reminders about the events of the game, and the two of them decide to take a drive through the streets of the city to get some fresh air. Well, that didn’t last too long.
Luka and Nalika end up driving around for a couple of hours and then get into some traffic jams. Finally, they decide that they should go to the local pizzeria and have a drink. They get there and the pizzeria is a pretty nice place, but it has one rule: if you are carrying a gun, you get to stay with the guy in the booth. That rule seems to be enforced pretty strictly.
One of them decides to go to the bathroom and he gets a text from Luka who is now stuck with Luka. The fact that Luka can’t remember anything about himself is kind of disturbing and kind of like “Hey, that’s kind of weird” (though it’s pretty much the opposite of weird). The text ends up being a bunch of random gibberish, but it still works as a text game.
I don’t know. I was just thinking if I was a normal person and I didn’t have any memory of the world I was in before, then I’d probably be pretty pissed off at the guy who left me a text on a bathroom stall door.
This was a very intentional thing for Luka to do, and his character is actually pretty good at text games. His memory loss is actually a good thing because it allows him to be able to play a game where he has to play with his own memories. He’s also been playing with his memory since he was a kid, so it’s not like he’s suddenly remembering how he got his hands dirty.
In other news, Id also be pretty pissed off with Luka for this new scene. He doesn’t know that he was in a game where he had to kill a lot of people, so his game seems very empty and almost empty. But then he has to kill a lot of people that he doesn’t remember killing in the game.
I have a feeling id be upset with him for this too.
