A website like Klout shows you which words are trending but it will not tell you which specific websites are using those words. A tool like Klout would be great, and I’m sure it will be included in our new citywide SEO tool.

I think what Klout is attempting to do is to be a search engine that is more than just a tool for SEO. It tries to be a social engine; a social search engine. Klout is just trying to be the search engine for this city; to ensure that there is a lot of relevant local search results.
